People | 12/04/2007 7:49 pm EST

Len Perry has been named VP and GM of CTV Calgary, effective January 1. Perry has spent the past seven years as director of news and public affairs at CTV Calgary, and under his leadership the station now has the four most-watched news programs in the city. He also currently sits on a number of educational committees, including the board of governors for St. Mary's University/College and the advisory committee for the Centre of Communications Studies at Mount Royal College, and has been named broadcaster of the year by the Broadcast Educators Association of Canada. Perry succeeds departing VP and GM Pat McDougall, who recently announced her December 31 retirement.
