Sandvine, a provider of broadband traffic intelligence to service providers, introduced its PTS 14000 platform for mobile and wireless carriers. The new platform gives mobile data and wireless providers a look into their network traffic and allows them to allocate network resources and enhance quality of service for multimedia IP-based applications. The Waterloo ON-based company also announced that it has been awarded two contracts for its new wireless platform: one in Europe and another in North America. While the identities of the customers weren't released, the company notes that the European providers has more than 500,000 DSL and five million mobile subscribers. The North American customer is focused on the WiMAX space and has more than 200,000 customers.
