Brief | January 15, 2008

Bell Canada has announced the launch of its next generation 6141 High Definition satellite receiver. In addition to the standard receiver features such as seamless surfing between HD and standard definition channels and a electronic program guide, the 6141 HD receiver also includes access to interactive television and caller ID on your TV that displays the names and phone number of incoming calls. "Growing consumer appetite for HDTVs is driving increased demand for HD services," said Kevin Crull, president, Bell Residential Services. "Bell's new 6141 receiver delivers the Full HD experience, offering consumers the perfect combination of industry leading HD picture quality and access to more than 60 HD channels, the largest selection in Canada." Bell is offering the receiver for $299, or $10 a month to rent.
