Rare Method receives e-tourism gold and platinum
Brief | January 21, 2008
Calgary-based interactive marketing firm Rare Method Interactive Corp. and its premier tourism client Travel Alberta were awarded a gold medal for their online marketing campaign in the public sector and a platinum medal for the best overall online marketing campaign at the first ever Canadian e-tourism Awards. Rare Method's campaign focused on SkiCanadianRockies.com, a website designed for skiers and snowboarders in Ontario, New York, California and Texas who were planning vacations in Alberta during the 2006-07 winter season. The site provided interactive dialog with visitors and utilized social networking websites such as MySpace, YouTube and Flickr to create awareness. The six-month initiative generated a 126% increase in sign-ups for Travel Alberta's e-newsletter.
