Ottawa-based Wi-LAN Inc. has appointed Shaun McEwan as CFO. He has more than 16 years experience in finance and executive leadership with both publicly traded and privately-help high tech companies. Most recently, he was CFO at BreconRidge Manufacturing Solutions. During his tenure there, McEwan helped raise more than $40 million as well as make a number of corporate acquisitions. Prior to BreconRidge, McEwan served in increasingly senior positions at Calian Technologies Ltd., first as CFO and then as president and CEO.
