Corus retains thePlatform for broadband video management

Broadband video management and publishing company thePlatform has reached an agreement with Corus Entertainment to deliver broadband video through Corus’ entertainment portals. With this deal, Seattle-based thePlatform provides broadband video management support for TreehouseTV, YTV and WNetwork. "Corus continues to innovate and develop its online destinations, and has now deployed a number of successful online video destinations," said Marty Roberts, VP of Marketing, thePlatform. "We’re pleased that by using thePlatform, they are able to easily manage, syndicate and monetize their online assets." thePlatform’s system manages the entire logistics process behind the publication of broadband video from the content owner to the consumer. A subsidiary of Comcast, thePlatform currently provides online video publishing and management for a host of consumer brands including: BBC, CNBC, CBS’s College Sports TV, Comcast, Gannett, Helio, HIT Entertainment, PBS KIDS Sprout, Sony BMG, The Hearst Corporation and Verizon Wireless.
