Xenophile nominated for another Emmy
Brief | March 7, 2008
Toronto-based interactive media firm Xenophile Media and production company Fresh TV have been nominated for an International Interactive Emmy Award for their wok on the world’s first interactive animated reality show, Total Drama Island – Totally Interactive. "Total Drama Island – Totally Interactive!, is a totally new concept that challenges the relationship between traditional and interactive entertainment," said Xenophile Media co-founder Thomas Wallner. The tween-targeted Teletooon series lets viewers play along with the show online and compete in challenges each week based on that week’s television episode. No stranger to the Emmy’s, Xenophile has already won the award twice, including an Interactive award in 2007 for its ReGenesis Extended Reality Game and a Primetime Emmy for the Fallen Alternate Reality Game, also in 2007.
