Spectrum Signal gets European security deal

Vecima Inc.’s Spectrum Signal Processing division, has inked an agreement with the European Commission Joint Research Centre‘s (JRC) Sensors Radar Technologies and Cyber Security Unit (SERAC) to provide its flexComm Waveform Design Studio for research and development purposes. R&D will focus on the wireless interoperability for security (WINTSEC) project, which is exploring a combination of solutions to eliminate barriers for wireless interoperability across multiple security agencies. If successful, this will enable first responders with incompatible legacy radios to communicate in times of crisis.
