Briefs | 04/03/2008 4:59 pm EDT

Satellite radio provider XM Canada has announced it will air every game of the 2008 Stanley Cup Playoffs beginning Wednesday April 9. For the playoffs, analyst Pierre McGuire will join XM’s NHL Home Ice team, which already features Phil Esposito, Gary Green, Denis Potvin, Bill Clement, Jim Tatti, Scott Laughlin, Jamie Shalley, Bob McKenzie, Don LaGreca and E.J. Hradek.  "We are thrilled to bring the excitement and fast-paced action of every single NHL Playoff game to our listeners across Canada, right from the first puck drop to the last buzzer in the Stanley Cup Final game," said Joe Thistel, director of sports and news programming for XM Canada. "Not only can hockey fans tune in to every game on NHL HOME ICE, but they can also catch the latest news, in-depth analysis and sharp commentary, right on their XM satellite radio."
