High Fidelity adds Austrian ORF programming

Briefs | 04/06/2008 7:40 pm EDT

Toronto-based all-HD broadcaster High Fidelity HDTV has added a package of acclaimed wildlife, history and art documentaries from Austria’s ORF. High Definition programming has become important to ORF over the past two years, and the format will take on even more significance beginning with the EURO 2008 kickoff this June. "Programming from ORF is known worldwide for its quality of storytelling and imagery," says High Fidelity co-founder John Panikkar, "and we are pleased and proud to be able to offer these smart, refreshing and beautiful programs to our viewers in Canada." Some of the programs acquired from ORF include The Wild and the West, Living Art: Artists and their Gardens, Art City: New York and Vienna’s Forest: Jewels of Green.
