The iPhone will be coming to Canada after all, if there was any doubt in the first place. Rogers Communications Inc. announced earlier today that it has reached an agreement with Apple Inc. to bring the popular mobile phone/multimedia device to the Canadian market. "We're thrilled to announce that we have a deal with Apple to bring the iPhone to Canada later this year. We can't tell you any more about it right now, but stay tuned," Ted Rogers, president and CEO of Rogers said in a statement. The announcement ends months of speculation about when the device was going to be introduced in Canada. But now more speculation can begin regarding the concessions Rogers had to make just to land the rights to introduce the iPhone here. AT&T Inc., the exclusive iPhone carrier in the US, had to agree to give Apple a piece of the pie in terms of monthly customer revenue.
