CRTC gets new full-time commissioner

Timothy Denton has been appointed to the CRTC as a full-time member. Denton is lawyer with a specialty in legal and policy issues related to the Internet and communications, including telecommunications and broadcasting. He has a long history in the telecommunications and broadcasting sectors, having helped create the Broadcasting Act and the Telecommunications Act. Denton was a policy advisor to the Minister of Communications during the mid-1980s.
