New deal for Octasic Inc.

Briefs | 06/19/2008 5:10 pm EDT

Quebec-based Octasic Inc.’s Vocallo multi-core gateway Digital Signal Processor (DSP) platform, which provides voice and video on Internet Protocol (IP) applications, has been chosen by Sangoma Technologies Corporation for the development of an accelerator card targeted at PC based telephony. David Mandelstrom of Sangoma Technologies said the venture will allow his company to expand business into new markets.
This week, Octasic Inc. announced that it has enhanced its Vocallo product family, which allows IP communication servers and media gateways the ability to combine voice and video on a single platform, a move which the company says allows customers to high video capabilities while cutting down costs.
