Canadians slow to adopt mobile

A new report from TNS indicates that Canadians about two-thirds of Canadians aged 16 to 60 regularly uses a cell phone, below the global average of 80%. While this is unlikely to be a surprise to many in the industry as Canada’s cell phone penetration rate is only slightly higher than 60%, what should come as a wakeup call to the country’s service providers is that the majority of the non-cell phone users aren’t interested in getting one in the next 12 months.
