Government shutting down cultural podcasts site

The future of the federal government’s first directory of cultural podcasts—including a portal showcasing Canadian culture— is in jeopardy following a “strategic review” conducted after the delivery of the 2008 budget. Podcasts.culture.ca, together with its host, culture.ca, will be yanked off the Internet as early as this fall, according to Charles Drouin, a spokesman with the Department of Canadian Heritage.
