Scott leaves Competition Bureau; new interim chief appointed

Sheridan Scott has ended a four-year term as commissioner of the Competition Bureau to join former Bank of Canada governor David Dodge and other high profile corporate lawyers as a partner in Bennett Jones LLP’s competition group. Scott joins the firm’s public policy group in Ottawa, which will formally open in new office overlooking Parliament Hill in early 2009.
