Briefs | 01/12/2009 2:18 pm EST

DDS Wireless Inc. has announced its first win in the Quebec taxi market, scoring a big win with Taxis de Sherbrooke Inc. in Sherbrooke QC. The deal calls for the delivery of a Pathfinder dispatch system with 90 Vector 530 mobile data terminals. The Quebec market had previously been closed to mobile data terminals in taxis, but recent regulatory changes has now opened the taxi market to inp-vehicle dispatch systems. The company’s taxi division is actively pursuing this market and expects to sign further contracts in the near future.
