Shaw Communications Inc.’s board of directors has appointed Michael O’Brien as lead director to replace the Rt. Hon. Don Mazankowski, who is retiring from the board and not standing for re-election at the company’s annual shareholder meeting. As lead director, O’Brien is charged with providing independent leadership to the board and to maintain and enhance the quality of the company’s corporate governance practices.
