CAB to officially unveil LPIF framework next week

The Canadian Association of Broadcasters (CAB) will officially unveil the Local Programming Improvement Fund (LPIF) on Monday, Feb. 23. Last fall, the CRTC mandated CAB to establish a framework for administering the $60 million fund by Jan. 17. But on Jan.9, CAB wrote to the CRTC saying it can’t beat the deadline and asked for it to be pushed back by a month until Feb. 17.
