Briefs | 06/22/2009 6:48 pm EDT

Municipally owned Bruce Telecom has joined the Ontario Telecommunications Association (OTA) as its 20th member. “The independent telephone companies of Ontario have a bright future as we diversify our traditional offerings with services such as digital television and cellular and at the same time extend our reach into competitive regions beyond our historic local exchange boundaries”, said Bruce Telecom’s CEO Michael Andrews. “That bright future will be more certain with the ongoing cooperation and collaboration of resources that is accomplished through our membership in the OTA.”
