Route1 Inc., a security and identity-based services company, has been awarded a National Master Standing Offer (NMSO) contract by Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC). Under the NMSO, Canadian government departments and agencies have been pre-approved to purchase up to $20 million of Route1 products and services over a three-year period. “This NMSO is an important agreement for Route1. We are pleased to have the opportunity to provide the Government of Canada with secure digital interactions through the MobiKEY and MobiNET services," said Dean Peloso, president and CEO of Route1. "With Route1, government workers will be able to securely work from home or any other remote location and perform all mission critical operations even if they are unable to physically go into government-secured facilities due to weather, illness, transit strikes, pandemic or other disruptions." PWGSC selected Route1's solutions based on qualification by the Communications Security Establishment Canada and the company’s compliance with FIPS 140-2, a standard used to validate cryptographic security. Defense Research Development Canada was a sponsor in the PWGSC run process to have the Route1 product line available through the NMSO.
