Vancouver-based MetroLeap Media, Inc., producer of the popular music website MetroLyrics.com, has recruited former MySpace Music senior VP Jamie Kantrowitz, former GM of Yahoo! Canada Kerry Munro, and entrepreneur and advisor Charles Seely to its new advisory board. “It is an honor to have such a seasoned group of music, search, Internet marketing, and digital entertainment experts join MetroLeap Media, each bringing unique skills, strengths and perspectives that will help the continued growth and development of MetroLyrics.com,” said Alan Juristovski, co-founder and CEO at MetroLeap Media. As the former SVP of strategy and global marketing for MySpace Music, Kantrowitz led the strategic planning of the service's rich media platform of content partnerships and original programming, artist strategy and label relations, as well as consumer and strategic marketing initiatives. She also played an integral role in overseeing the expansion of MySpace and the MySpace Music platform into 30 international territories. Recently, Munro was the head of Yahoo! Canada, where it became the fastest growing and best performing business unit in Yahoo! worldwide, achieving annual double/triple digit growth over four years. Seely is an entrepreneur and advisor/investor who sits on the advisory boards of various companies and is an advisor to the UK Government as a "Dealmaker" for the Global Entrepreneurs Programme. He was previously the top salesperson at TCS, a telecommunications software company backed by Cisco and Nomura.
