COM DEV International Ltd. will commence work on an integrated multiplexer and switch assemblies for a commercial communications satellite at its Cambridge, ON, facility. COM DEV has not released the identity of the client with whom it signed the contract. The Authorization To Proceed (ATI) from the client is valued at US$ 1.5 million and completion of the project is slated to lead to a full contract worth US$ 5 million, according to a press release from the company. Additionally, COM DEV will in the future work on three satellites for the same customer.
