Content caching is a tool that targets popular file transfers online by creating temporary local storage, or cache. Caching allows the transfer of files to users directly from the temporary storage location, eliminating transit links and lowering network congestion. Waterloo, Ont. company Sandvine provides broadband network solutions for cable, DSL, FTTx, fixed wireless and mobile operators. PeerApp provides media caching solutions.
