Industry Canada has approved BC company Tranzeo Wireless Technologies Inc. for the operation of its WiMax broadband wireless equipment in the 3.65-3.7 GHz band. "Industry Canada's decision to free up 50MHz of spectrum at 3.65 GHz is great news for Wireless Internet Service Providers looking to offer low cost, high quality broadband Internet service," Dave Gelvin, general manager of the WiMax product line at Tranzeo, said in a release. Gelvin added that the company’s WiMax solution “is ideal for rural broadband and dedicated enterprise applications." As a result of the approval, Tranzeo's wireless equipment, a TR-WMX-365pBS pico base station and TR-WMX-3 CPEs, can be put into use immediately. Tranzeo is a manufacturer of wireless broadband and WiMax communication systems.
