Susan Millican, CEO of the National Screen Institute (NSI) - Canada, has announced she will step down from her position as soon as a successor is found. Millican will stay remain an advisor for the organization, which specializes in training and special development for Canada’s film, television and digital media industries. Millican has led the NSI since 2002. About 96 per cent of the writers, producers and directors trained at the school have gone on to work in the film and television industry. The NSI has adapted to the new media landscape under Millican’s leadership with multi-platform initiatives such as NSI playWRITE, a program that allows writers to gain experience in the video game industry.
