Craig Wireless Systems Ltd. announced Friday its Canadian operating subsidiaries have entered into an agreement for the sale of the company’s Canadian spectrum assets to Inukshuk Wireless Parternship. Inukshuk is a partnership of affiliates of Rogers Communications and Bell Canada. Following certain conditions, including regulatory approval, Inukshuk will buy Craig Wireless’ spectrum in the 2.5 and 3.5 GHz bands in Manitoba and British Columbia for $80 million. "This sale is very supportive of the Company's strategy to create value for shareholders through a portfolio of spectrum investments," Craig Wireless co-CEO Boyd Craig said in a release. The spectrum sale represents about one quarter of Craig Wireless’ total spectrum holdings. Once the sale is finalized, Craig Wireless will continue to own or lease spectrum in the United States, Greece, Norway, and New Zealand.
