Rogers Communications Inc. announced Wednesday the launch of the Novatel Wireless Intelligent Mobile Hotspot, a new addition to Rogers’ portfolio of mobile Internet devices. The Novatel Wireless MiFi 2372 device provides broadband Internet access for up to five Wi-Fi enabled devices simultaneously, connecting multiple laptops, printers, cameras, music players and gaming devices, a release said. The wallet-sized device creates a Wi-Fi hotspot covering a 30-foot radius and its battery lasts up to four hours on one charge, the release said. Users can also access up to 16 Gb of memory to share files. The device sells for $50 on a three-year contract.
