Israeli company ECI Telecom has signed a distribution deal with Montreal-based Incospec Communications to distribute network technology in Canada. The partnership will involve terrestrial broadcast, cable, fibre, satellite and other telecom and wireless technology. The companies said in a release that business customers are looking for more e-commerce, storage, voice-over-IP, video conferencing and “virtual presence" services. Residential broadband customers are looking for more “triple play” services (voice, video and data), video-on-demand, IPTV and other wireline and wireless TV services, the companies said. ECI’s services allow service providers to optimize the transition to next-generation networks, the release said.
