Rogers Communications Inc. announced Wednesday the appointment of Scott Moore to the position of president of broadcasting. The announcement came one day after the announcement of Moore’s departure from his position as executive director of CBC Sports and general manager of the CBC Revenue Group. Starting on Dec. 6, Moore will oversee Rogers’ television services, including Citytv, Sportsnet and OMNI, as well as its radio properties. He will also be responsible for programming, sales, production, regulatory, engineering and distribution. Moore previously worked for Rogers Sportsnet. Rogers also announced Wednesday the appointment of Leslie Sole to the new position of chief content officer, where she will be responsible for the creation and execution of Rogers’ content strategy. Sole previously oversaw the expansion of the company’s television division.
