The CRTC renewed Rogers Communications Inc.'s licences Friday for CHDI-FM Edmonton, CJOK-FM Fort McMurray, and for transmitter CJOK-FM-1 Tar Island. In its notice of consultation for the application, the CRTC said Rogers may have failed to make its Canadian content development contributions for the stations during the 2008-2009 broadcast year. The commission also indicated that Rogers appeared to be in non-compliance with CHDI-FM's Canadian talent development contributions between 2005 and the 2007-2008 broadcast year. In its decision, the commission said Rogers had paid in full the amount owed for the stations. The licences will expire Aug. 31, 2017.
