Research In Motion Ltd. is offering five new BlackBerry devices that will be available around the world later this month, the company announced Wednesday. The handsets—two new BlackBerry Bold models and three new versions of the BlackBerry Torch—all run on the new BlackBerry 7 operating system. RIM said the Bold 9900 and 9930 are its thinnest smartphones to date, with keyboard and touch display. The Torch 9810 features a slide-out keyboard, and the Torch 9850 and 9860 operate with an all-touch-screen design and the largest display so far on a BlackBerry. More than 225 carriers have started or completed certification programs for the handsets, RIM said. Telus Corp. has announced it will carry the Bold 9900, the Torch 9810 and the Torch 9860.
