ACTRA announced this week that Daintry Dalton has been appointed as the union's new regional executive director. In a release, the Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists (ACTRA) said Dalton has been working for the organization for 31 years. She most recently held the position of commercials steward at ACTRA in Montreal, Que. “During her time with ACTRA, Daintry has demonstrated a strong commitment to performers and I know she will continue to excel in this new and challenging position representing ACTRA and its membership,” Stephen Waddell, ACTRA’s national director, said in a release. ACTRA said Dalton succeeds Raymond Guardia, who recently left to assume a position in the Office of the Leader of the Official Opposition for the NDP.
