Public Mobile announced Friday that it has reached an agreement with BCE Inc. to expand its roaming coverage in Canada to 93 per cent of the population. “Eastern Canada will see the biggest expansion in roaming coverage, in addition to complete coverage of the Quebec City to Windsor, Ontario corridor,” the company said in a release. Public Mobile spokeswoman Lisa Papas said in an email that the company has expanded its roaming through an agreement with Bell, which is added to an existing agreement with Telus Communications Co. The company also released a new network coverage map Friday. Public Mobile charges 15 cents per minute to send or receive a call while roaming. Incoming texts are free and outgoing texts are 15 cents while roaming.
