Larivière named president of Transcontinental Media

Natalie Larivière will take over as president of a merged Transcontinental Media that will absorb its sister service, Transcontinental Interactive, on Nov. 1, Transcontinental Inc. announced Monday. Under the new organizational structure, the single division will handle products and services in publishing, distribution, data analytics and management and will assume responsibility for Transcontinental’s interactive marketing and digital media operations, the company said in a release Monday. The company said the move will allow it to better help businesses target “increasingly fragmented audiences.” "After three years of developing our interactive marketing products and services, it became a natural step to provide our customers with an integrated offer by grouping them in our media operations," Transcontinental president and CEO, François Olivier, said in a release. “Concretely, the reorganization of our digital activities and interactive marketing solutions will make it easier to market our products and services and emphasize our offer on the various communication platforms, while continuing to deploy our other media and printing products.” The merger results from the development plan the company launched in 2008 that has allowed Transcontinental to expand its advertising reach and increase its revenues to over $175 million annually, the company said. The release added that Larivière “has been a driving force in the development of Transcontinental’s digital products and services since 2006.” The current president of the company’s interactive division, Christian Trudeau, will leave the company before the transition on Oct. 31.
