The month of September demonstrated an upward year-over-year trend for BCE Inc. subsidiary Bell Media’s digital properties, the company reported Tuesday. In a release, the company said that, according to new data for September, Bell Media Digital assets reached more than 14.8 million unique visitors during the month, up by three per cent from the previous month. Bell said there were more than four million video views of news stories in September, up nearly 89 per cent from the same month last year. The company said its properties ranked fifth in unique viewers in Canada after those of Microsoft Inc., Google Inc., Facebook Inc. and Yahoo! Inc. Bell said CTV was its top television property, receiving more than 3.9 million unique visitors during the month, up 10 per cent from the month of August. The CTV growth shows an increase of 21 per cent over the same month last year, Bell said. The company added that Bell Media Radio online properties grew by 11 per cent over the previous month, reaching 506,000 unique visitors. Vancouver’s TheBeat.com was its top radio property, reporting a 25 per cent growth from the previous month and 52 per cent growth over September 2010, the company said.
