Montreal lawyer David R. Collier has been appointed to the position of Quebec Superior Court judge. Collier, who specialized in intellectual property law, is taking over the position from Justice William Fraiberg. Fraiberg left the position of Quebec Superior Court judge to become a supernumerary judge in mid-September. Collier previously held the position of senior lawyer at Ogilvy Renault LLP (now Norton Rose OR LLP). He brings more than 30 years of legal practice experience in copyright, trademarks and trade secrets litigation to his new position.
