ISPs cannot be ordered to intervene in user activities: EU court

Courts cannot intervene in the activities of Internet service providers (ISPs) by requiring them to monitor Internet customers and block them from distributing copyrighted works, the EU Court of Justice, Europe’s highest court, ruled last week.
