CRTC’s new Cancon policy pushing broadcasters to seek better ratings, expert says

OTTAWA—Canadian English-language drama represents a content “success story” under the CRTC’s new group-based licensing model, where broadcasters are now focused on better ratings for their Canadian dramas, comedies and other programming, Peter Grant, a broadcasting expert and partner with McCarthy Tétrault, said Thursday at a broadcast industry conference.
