Asian Television Network International Ltd. (ATN) said Tuesday its operating revenues reached $28 million in 2011. In a release, ATN said the 2011 revenue total was up from $21.3 million in 2010. The specialty channel operator said profits were $5.3 million in 2011, up from $2 million the previous year. “We are very encouraged by the growth of our business and the trend this sets is a significant and positive sign for the future,” Dr. Shan Chandrasekar, president and CEO of ATN, said in a statement. The company said operating profits (EBITDA) reached $7.6 million in 2011, up from $3.1 million in 2010. ATN’s earnings per share also grew, reaching $0.31 in 2011, up from $0.13 for the previous year. ATN is a South Asian broadcaster offering 34 specialty channels to the Canada's cultural communities.
