Verizon plan benefits new entrants, pushes AWS band ‘from marginal to mainstream’

Verizon Communications Inc.'s plan to sell off some of its 700 MHz spectrum in the United States to gain more AWS holdings could deliver significant benefits to new entrant carriers in Canada, Iain Grant, managing director with the Seaboard Group, said in an interview.
