Michel Roy was reappointed as chair of Telefilm Canada for a five-year term, Heritage Minister James Moore said Monday. In a release, the Heritage Department said Roy was first appointed to the chair position on Oct. 12, 2007. Prior to his appointment at Telefilm, Roy was a management consultant in the private sector. Roy previously worked as deputy minister of tourism, deputy minister of communication and the Quebec government’s delegate in Chicago, the release said. “His commitment to the film industry and his vast knowledge of arts will continue to be an invaluable asset to the organization,” Moore said in the release.
