Nathalie Cook and Mark Silver, two former employees of Canada’s Olympic Broadcast Media Consortium, are joining TSN. In a release Thursday, TSN, the country’s most profitable specialty channel, said Cook will join the BCE Inc.-owned channel in the role of vice-president of integrated marketing and partnerships. Silver was appointed the channel’s new senior director of digital, the release said. Both held similar positions with the Olympic consortium, a partnership between Bell-owned CTV and Rogers Communications Inc., which covered the 2010 Vancouver Olympics and 2012 Summer Games in London. In her new position, Cook will expand TSN’s “integrated brand partnership programs and events,” the release said. “She will also oversee all key functional areas related to TSN marketing, including consumer advertising, on-air promotion and special events,” the company said, and take on a leadership role “in driving the TSN brand with a multi-platform strategy.” Last week, Bell said it hired Adam Ashton, former head of the Olympic broadcast consortium, to serve as senior vice-president of business operations for its Bell Media division.
