Xplornet Communications Inc. appointed Allison Lenehan as new president, the company said Tuesday. In a release, Xplornet said Lenhan’s appointment follows an announcement from John Maduri, the company’s CEO since 2005, who said he has plans to pursue other business endeavours in the coming year. Lenehan’s promotion will ensure a “seamless internal transition,” the Woodstock, N.B.-based company said. “Allison was a founder of Xplornet, and has played a critical role in building Xplornet in his role as Chief Marketing Officer and more recently, Chief Strategy Officer,” Bill Barrett, chairman of Xplornet’s board, said in a statement. Barrett said Lenehan has experience in the telecom industry, having helped StarChoice grow from a startup to having more than 700,000 customer satellite TV service.
