‘Impossible’ to identify file sharers by IP address, expert says

The identification of an IP address associated with movie file sharing is not enough to pinpoint an individual file sharer, says a new affidavit filed on behalf of the Canadian Internet Policy and Public Interest Clinic (CIPPIC) as part of Voltage Pictures LLP’s legal request for the names of 1,100 TekSavvy Solutions Inc. Internet customers.
