Michel Morin, a former CRTC commissioner, joined TVA as an investigative journalist. The TVA network, owned by Quebecor Media Inc., said in a release Friday that Morin started his carreer as a journalist and will investigate imortant issues in Quebec for the network's news programs. "I returned to journalism because it is a trade that I want to practice with experienced professionals, who demonstrate that every day over the TVA antenna," Morin said in a French-language statement. "I left the trade 10 years ago, but still remain faithful to the principles of the trade, that is to say, never assume anything and be skeptical of the elite." A former reporter for Radio-Canada, Morin became a CRTC commissioner in 2007 under the Liberal government. He left the CRTC in 2012. --- CORRECTION: An earlier version of this story incorrectly said Michel Morin was the former vice-chair of broadcasting who left the CRTC in 2010. That was Michel Arpin.
