Buzz Telecommunications Services Inc. said Friday that Mazen Haddad, Jeremy Edelman and John McMullen acquired 59.4 per cent of its shares with an intention to “reactivate” the company. "It is the intention of Messrs, Haddad, Edelman and McMullen to reactivate the company, although no specific plans have been formulated at this time," the company said in a press release. Buzz Telecom provides long distance phone products and services in Quebec and Ontario. Haddad joined the board of directors in 2009. In connection to the purchase and sale of the shares, Cameron McDonald resigned from the board of directors, and Douglas McMullen and Guy Charette were appointed to the board, the release said. The board is now comprised of Haddad, Rafi Hazan, McMullen and Charette. Haddad has been appointed chairman of the board, and president and CEO of Buzz Telecom, while Hazan, formerly president and CEO, was appointed chief financial officer following the resignation of Raymond Houle, the release said.
