The CRTC received 53 complaints about Internet throttling in the past year, the commission said. In a report Friday, the CRTC said it received 17 complaints between July 1 and Sept. 30 about throttling, or Internet traffic management practices. That number was up from six complaints in the three months from April 1 to June 30. The CRTC tracks complaints about throttling practices and the disclosure of throttling by Internet service providers. There were 22 active complaints as of Sept. 30, up from eight as of June 30, the commission said.
