BlackBerry adds three executives

People | 12/18/2013 6:10 pm EST

BlackBerry Ltd. appointed John Sims as its new president of global enterprise services, James Mackey as executive vice-president for corporate development and strategic planning and Mark Wilson as senior vice-president of marketing.

The company made the announcements in a pair of releases Tuesday and Wednesday.

Sims most recently served as president of mobile services at SAP AG, while “Mackey served as senior vice-president of corporate development at Open Text Corp., as well as head of corporate development at SAP,” and Wilson was chief marketing officer at Avaya Inc.

This follows news of three other executives leaving BlackBerry, which comes after last month’s departures of its chief operating, chief marketing and chief financial officers, as well as the Nov. 4 news that Chen would become interim chief executive, replacing former CEO Thorsten Heins.
