PIAC disappointed with CRTC SIM swap disclosure

Six months after it received a request to release the data it collects on a fraud process known as “SIM swapping,” the CRTC yesterday sent a letter to parties involved in a proceeding on the matter saying that instances of the fraud had fallen by 95 per cent between October 2020 and May of this year.
